How you'd pay for this
You won't get an AWS bill. Your site runs on our AWS servers, and your first year of maintenance is included in the Rs. 40,000 package. From your second year, maintenance starts from Rs. 8,000 a year. It covers this running cost, plus security updates and bug fixes.
At this level, we'd expect your maintenance to be about Rs. 10,000 a year. The starting charge covers about 50 visitors a day with normal use. We'd confirm the amount in your written scope before we start.
Domain renewal is separate and paid to your registrar each year.

What really affects your running cost
Hosting costs surprise people because they don't follow the size of a site. Here's what we've learned from running sites on AWS.
Traffic and page weight matter most
A large system with light pages can cost less to run than a small site with big images. That's why we compress images and keep pages light.
Launch months cost more
Every published version uses build time, and there are many while a site is being built. Costs usually settle after launch.
Pages built ahead of time are cheaper
Pages prepared in advance cost almost nothing per visit. Pages the server builds for each visit cost more as traffic grows.
Databases are cheap when built well
Most database activity costs very little. Costs grow when screens keep reloading data they don't need.
Bots count too
Automated programs, such as search engines and security scanners, visit most public sites. Each visit uses a little capacity.
Every domain has a small minimum
Even a site with no visitors has a small fixed monthly cost for its domain connection.
How we work this out
- We use AWS's standard prices. AWS charges in US dollars, so the rupee amount can move with the exchange rate.
- We base the estimate on what a typical visitor uses, with an allowance for automated visits.
- This is an estimate of AWS running costs, before any taxes or bank charges. It doesn't include the cost of building your project or your domain renewal.
- Your actual cost depends on how your project is built and used. We'll confirm the details in your written scope.
