Website package terms

1. What's included

The package costs Rs. 40,000 and is a one-time payment. It includes your domain and maintenance for the first year, design, development, an admin panel, two features and SEO, AEO and GEO setup.

We scope each project by its features and content rather than a number of pages. Your written scope lists what's covered, and we'll quote separately for anything extra.

2. What's not included

The package doesn't include online payments, online bookings, customer logins, extra languages, copywriting or email hosting. We can quote for these separately.

3. Delivery

We deliver in 5 working days, starting on the working day after we have your first payment and all your content. If we're waiting on content or feedback from you, the delivery date moves back by the same amount of time.

4. Payment

You pay 50% before work starts and 50% before the site goes live.

5. Revisions

The package includes one round of revisions, requested within 5 working days of the preview. We'll quote for any further changes.

6. Your domain

We'll register your domain in your name on a registrar account, with Lanka Host preferred, and pay for the first year up to Rs. 5,000. You pay any amount above this.

We'll hand over the account when your site launches. You then add your own payment card and renew the domain yourself. We'll remind you 60, 30 and 7 days before it expires, but we aren't responsible if it lapses.

Please don't change your domain's DNS records without talking to us first, because this can stop your website or email from working. You agree to give us access to those records when we need it to maintain your site.

7. Business email

Email isn't part of the package. If you need it, we'll help you set up a Lanka Host plan, currently about Rs. 4,800 a year. It's billed directly to you and in your name.

8. Hosting and yearly maintenance

Your website runs on our AWS servers while your maintenance is active. We manage those servers, and we don't give clients access to them.

Your first year of maintenance is included in the package price and begins on the day your site goes live. From your second year, the maintenance charge starts from Rs. 8,000 a year. The exact amount depends on your features and is stated in your written scope. Maintenance covers keeping your site running, security updates and bug fixes. You can update content yourself in the admin panel. Other development work after your site goes live costs Rs. 3,000 an hour, with a one-hour minimum.

The starting charge covers up to about 50 visitors a day, on average over three months. A short busy period won't change your charge. If your site stays above this level, we'll show you the expected cost before your next renewal, and you can agree a new maintenance charge. We won't suspend your site for being busy.

We'll give you at least 30 days' notice of any price change before your renewal date.

9. Late renewal

If your maintenance charge isn't paid by the renewal date, you have a 14-day grace period. After that we may suspend your site, and we may delete it from our servers 60 days after suspension.

10. Web apps

Web apps are outside this package and are quoted individually. They run on a separate AWS account with your payment card attached, and you pay the AWS bill directly.

11. Ownership

You own your domain, content and images. Your code is kept in a GitHub repository under your account, with us added as contributors. We may reuse general techniques and components that aren't specific to your business.

You confirm that you have the rights to all the content you give us.

12. Leaving

If you leave, we'll give you your codebase and content at no charge. You'll need to arrange your own hosting. Access to our hosting account and servers isn't included.

13. Refunds

You can get a full refund before work starts, except for any domain we've already bought. Your 50% first payment is non-refundable once design has started.

14. Search rankings and liability

We set up your site's technical SEO, AEO and GEO foundations, but we don't guarantee any search ranking or number of leads.

Our total liability is limited to the fees you've paid us in the previous 12 months.
